Windows 11 will be officially released on October 5

Microsoft's next version of Windows 11 will be released on October 5th. Windows 11 Edition will be released 6 years after the release of Windows 10. The developer version was released to users before the official release of Windows 11 and you may remember that we gave it to you to download in a previous article.

Microsoft says it will be stepping into the Windows 11 operating system step by step, just like previous Windows 10 feature updates. This means that Windows 11 will be released on October 5th, but for many, the improvement is not immediately apparent. Microsoft says it will slowly increase Windows 11 upgrades to 2022 for qualified computers before they become available for all eligible computers.

Computers running Windows 10 with the features required to run Windows 11 will be notified of the Windows Update feature. People can go to "Settings > System > Windows Update" on their computer to see if the update is ready.
